WHAT DOES bb&j MEAN?
“bb” is what my son, Brady, called himself when he was first learning to talk and “j” is for my daughter Juliette. The ampersand was just linking the two together until we surprised ourselves and wanted another kid, so our little Enzo gets the “E” style ampersand! Now we can’t have any more kids because I don’t have any room left in my business name! Plus, you have to admit, it’s kinda catchy and reminds you of pb&j, right? And who doesn’t love a pb&j!
FACTS THE PEOPLE ARE DYING TO KNOW ABOUT ME:
1. I’m afraid of ducks. Seriously, those things are scary!
2. I can’t talk and shop for crafting supplies at the same time.
3. I hate working out- as in I don’t even like putting on shoes knowing the intention is to work out with them on.
4. I get lost very easily. I’ve seen a lot of Sicily unintentionally.
5. My relationship with Jesus gives me intention and guides my life.
WHY DO YOU ALWAYS WRITE “ME !”
The story goes like this…Once upon a time I worked at a children’s hospital in the oncology department. It was here my coworker graciously taught me how to crochet. One day, while hopelessly tangled in yarn – seriously yarn can be tangled way too easily- I poked my head into my coworker’s office and sheepishly announced “It’s just me.” while holding up the crocheted mess I had made. She sat back in her chair and told me that when I entered a room it was a celebration. That I was special and unique and worth much more than “it’s just me.” Here I was surrounded by these amazingly unique and charming young humans facing obstacles that would bring giants to their knees, and it stuck me in a profound way that we all deserve a celebration when we enter a room. We all have a story. We all have trials and tribulations. We are all complex, unique, and lovely. And so, it’s ME! and it’s YOU! Let’s celebrate!
HOW DO I CARE FOR MY bb&j DOLL?
Love her! That’s the best care I can think of! Cuddle her, squish her, squeeze her, and you can even do the one arm drag! She is a new friend and wants to enjoy life with you!
OK, BUT WHAT IF SHE GETS MESSY WITH ALL THIS LOVE?
Spot cleaning is best (especially her hair which can warp with warm water and agitation… and nobody likes a bad hair day), but if she needs a good bath, gentle hand-washing with mild detergent is recommended. The removable clothes are machine washable. Any ribbons or embellishments to the doll or clothing will be securely stitched and should come through washing and playing without any issues.
